The World Bank Group acts as AgResults' Trustee and provides financial intermediary services that include, but are not limited to, receiving funds, holding funds, investing funds, and transferring them to recipients or other agencies for implementation as directed by the Secretariat on behalf of the Steering Committee. In addition to these basic financial management services, the World Bank provides additional financial analysis and financial guidance to the Steering Committee as requested, and is actively engaged in Steering Committee meetings as appropriate. The World Bank was also involved in the design and exploration of AgResults as an innovative finance initiative since its inception in 2010. The early involvement of the World Bank in this capacity reflects its comparative advantage in successfully bringing a number of innovative financial structures to the development community.


Anju Sharma
World Bank

Anju Sharma is the World Bank Group's Trustee for AgResults.  She brings eighteen years of experience within the World Bank Group, working in areas such as agriculture, environment, and natural resources. She currently manages the Development Grant Facility (DGF) which provides grants to innovative global partnerships such as the Critical Ecosystem Partnership Fund (CEPF) , the Global Facility for Disaster Recovery and Reduction (GFDRR), Consultative Group to Assist the Poor (CGAP) etc. Ms. Sharma also oversees the Korea World Bank Partnership Facility that provides grants in areas such as private sector development, infrastructure, jobs and ICT.  She has a Masters degree in Sociology from the Delhi School of Economics, University of Delhi, India.


Marizmelda Dugayo

Mariz Dugayo is a Senior Financial Assistant with seven years of experience with trust fund administration with the WBG. She holds a Bachelors degree in Business Economics from the University of the Philippines, with Masters in Business Administration credits from the Ateneo de Manila University. She worked with the Philippine public sector for over a decade before joining the World Bank. At the WBG, she is responsible for day-to-day operations of several trust funds spanning education, climate and agriculture, including AgResults.
