One of the strategic objectives of AgResults is to understand whether pull mechanisms work to solve market failures in agricultural development. The answer to this question will come from two sources- the Secretariat and the External Evaluator. Drawing on the experience designing and implementing the pull mechanisms, the Secretariat will present their lessons learned series which explores AgResults’ experiences in designed and implementing pull mechanisms. The series will have the goal of providing key lessons and recommendations that development practitioners should consider before designing agricultural-focused pull mechanisms. The Secretariat's lessons learned series is separated into two parts: Lessons Learned Articles and Lessons Learned Briefs. The Lessons Learned Articles are deeper dives where briefs are articles on challenges that arise in real time.

The external evaluator is generating lessons learned based on their rigorous evaluations of the pull mechanism. This lessons learned series will have a broader perspective on focus on the overarching questions around the efficacy of pull mechanism as a development tool, whether they achieve their objectives and the conditions under which they are effective. The evaluators will generate lessons learned briefs around the following topics:
